Student Travel Checklist

What To Pack:
  • Clothing - pack clothes for the weather in New York State:
  • August and June – warm 70-80 F, sometimes up to 90 F
  • September, October, April, May – moderate – 50-70 F
  • November through March – cold – 20-50 F
Boys will need: (check dress code for specifics)
  • dress pants, shirt and tie for chapel
  • casual pants (no jeans), shirts with collar that tuck in for school
  • warm clothing for cold weather such as sweaters, sweatshirts, warm jacket*
  • casual clothes for home and out of school
  • sneakers for physical education
  • other shoes
  • sleeping clothes
  • underwear
Girls will need: (check dress code for specifics) dress or skirt, at or below the knee for chapel
  • dress slacks, skirts, and tops for school
  • casual clothes for home and out of school

  • Bible in your language
  • Translation Dictionary: Your language – English dictionary
  • Money when you travel and to purchase International Long Distance Phone Card to call home
  • Allowance to cover miscellaneous purchases, school supplies, souvenirs, etc. Parents should
  • Determine a reasonable amount of spending money.

*Note: School supplies and additional clothing items are readily available in the area stores. It is suggested that students bring a minimum of the above clothing items and purchase the bulkier items, such as winter jacket locally.
